Delete your Ember account
In the app — the quickest way
- Open Ember and go to Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and confirm.
Without the app
Email privacy@e-mbr.uk
from the email address you signed up with, with the subject
Delete my Ember account. We will delete it within 30 days and
reply to confirm. Emailing from that address is how we know the request is yours.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, handle, picture and bio
- Your videos, comments and live streams
- Your likes, follows and blocks
- Your sign-in, so the account cannot be used again
What is kept, and for how long
Records of gifts, purchases and payouts are kept for six years, because UK tax law requires financial records to be kept. They are kept without your name, handle or picture attached. Reports and safety records about the account may be kept for twelve months, as the privacy policy explains.
Before you go
Any embers you have left are lost — they have no cash value. If you are a creator, request a payout of your earnings first. An account with a payout waiting for review cannot be deleted until that payout has been decided.
